Son of the noted painter and illustrator, Pratap Mulick, Milind Mulick has been drawing since the age of five. Though an engineer by training, he soon returned to his artistic inclinations and started doing architectural illustrations and other commercial design work. He is a full time artist now. According to him, “I paint what I see. It is not the subject but the shapes, tones, color and their relationships along with the play of light that creates a sensation. I paint because I wish to respond and communicate to this sensation. The selection of shapes and tones rendered in realistic style with washes and brushstrokes is my painting”.
He has published several books to teach principles of water color and acrylic paintings. He conducts workshops to teach art on a regular basis in India and Sweden. He has had 20 solo shows in Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur.
